Because of a small bug, you're completely giving up on a great modelling program?

Modelled and rendered in Blender. Free software ftw.

thats not really a small bug, what i deciphered from that butchered "engrand" was that it wouldn't zoom in, only out. Zooming is quite a key part of any 2d or 3d package and not having it only hinders your skill and peformance.
I'm all one for it being the artist and not the program which defines the quality of work, but if the program can't handle the simplest of tasks that the artist wants it to do then theres no point in using it.

It's the mouse. That same thing happened to me with a new wireless mouse I bought a couple months ago. I *think* there's a way to fix it in the user pref's, but I'm not sure.

then get new mouse. Blender is the best free and open sorce 3d app. and it can give commercial 3d packages a run for there money

Laughing out loud. Do people really believe that a program of the level of Blender would lack such feature? And do they throw equivocated rants instead of wondering if that is normal? Peculiar.

Edit:
Even though you do not deserve at the moment, I shall be patient and helpful:

1. Try the program with other mouse, if that does not work, do the following steps;
2. Remove Blender from your PC;
3. Install the latest version of Python, which is 2.5 if I recall correctly;
4. Run a register cleaner just for precaution;
5. Download the packed version of Blender instead of the installer.

I hope that helps. Honestly.

To funny.. I think it's his mouse as I have the latest blender build and python release and all works as advertised.

Instead of bashing a program on a forum that does not support it try to go to there forums as they have many of them, and ask them for help.

Cheers,
Dave

You really shouldn't bash blender at all, comon there are guys(and girls I am sure) who work their asses of to give you this incredibly amazing modeler day in and day out, and FOR FREE too and open source...
It has features which can friggin' be compared to 3dsmax toolset ffs!
Gone with the force young blender has!
