I sort...of...understand.
If you're asking if DX10 could be ported to Xp legally, then the answer is no, because Microsoft has put it's mighty foot down and said no.

No offence to anyone, but please stop complaining, we're all going to have to move on at some point to a new OS.

If one day people who have videocard with full suport of directx10 can use xp is the final solution "about people must be free about select what os can use"...

If micro***** or other company release one os every 6 month... what do you do? change the os every 6 month?

NO|!!|
Me want only update when one system is stable..
If xp is stable !"update it" don't release new version.

K.. sorry TGPEG..
Every new version i see this in more forum.

But must find one solution

The only solution is "if want to use directx10 must have vista", or emulate directx10 in other system..

OK..
I use another pc with vista ..

Whether or not we see a way to run (or emulate) DX10 in XP remains to be seen. It's hard to believe that it won't happen at some point but at the moment, I've not seen any one make it work.

I have a dual boot system with XP and Vista, but only use Vista for FPSC X10 and when someone asks a Vista support question. Otherwise I stay in XP for it's speed, stability, and ability to run current programs and equipment.

If there were a way for me not to run Vista, I would have found it. I feel your pain, but until or when DX10 can run in XP, we'll have to bite the bullet and buy Vista, downgrade that it is.

Best.

Oh just wait until SP1, then it will be fine, I'm running Vista, I have quite a few beefs with it, but I like it better than xp, though I still use my XP comp a bit, service pack one should fix a lot of issues though.
