Alright. Here's what i don't get. My levels aren't big enough. There only 39 x 39, and only 19 high, not including level zero. And i have all the system requirements! I just upgraded to 2.24 GB of memory, a pentium 4 processor, and 1.4 GB of hard dive space! And there still the same size! Any pointers on this one fellas?

I don't understand what you're saying... your level will be the same size regardless of what specs your system has...

I believe what you are asking is how to increase the size of the map levels in the editor.

You can't change the size of FPSC map levels higher than the default width/length/height regardless of memory or disc space. This is fixed in the program. 40*40*20 (0-39*0-39*0-39).

Sorry honey bun, welcome to the limitations of FPSC.

Why don't you try filling the grid, and tell us your framerate? Then imagine if it was any worse.

Oh jeez...sorry, but I cracked up at that.

I remember filling up the whole 40x40x20 grid with the stock 'ground' segments, nothing else. It took at least 10 minutes to get from one side to the other. It wasn't very laggy, but it slowed at bit in some spots.

Try it now with the 1.08 update and see how long it takes.

I was exaggerating; I didn't have my watch on that day.

its acually 3 minutes 44 seconds, with sprinting
5 minutes 23 seconds while walking, 8 minutes 10 seconds by crouching...

there is a way, but that includes source modification, and it works, but its really buggy... i couldnt jump... or go up a level with out it crashing...
