Yes I search this... and googled it.

What I need is a converter that could turn a .3ds file into any file that can be imported in milkshape. Some file types that are supported by milkshape are .OBJ, .MAX, etc. It doesn't need to be a file converter but it could be a moddler that could import .3ds files and export them into any format milkshape could import.

What version of Milkshape do you have that does not allow importing of .3ds files? I have version 1.8.2, and it does (pic attached). Also, I do not see where .max files can be imported.

[ ** EDIT ** Sorry about what .jpg did to the pic. Highlighted is Autodesk 3DS for import.]

I didn't know about that button but the file I want still doesn't work, it's a 3D Studio Scene file... at the buttom it says max. I have Milkshape 3D 1.8.2 trial for three more days and I need to get this done.

Also, where did you see a spot where you could import .max?

----Edit----

I went through the whole list and no import for .max, I clicked on all of them... even the ones that didn't make sense like TEXT.

I am just going to get Lithum Unwrap or whatever it's called.

Oh, I was reading it fast and I thought you said do, not do not. Anyway, I already used my free trial for 3DS Max but I have three other computers to do it.

Well, I got it to work by converting it on my other computer but now I have another question. The animations for the thing I got on Turbosquid comes in different files, how woul I be able to merge the animations?

Thanks.
