I'm developing a little game, and, one of it's levels is a Shanty Town. (to be more specific, a Rio de Janeiro shanty town). So, i'm looking for some textures and models, but, it's a little hard to find. I would like to know if you guys have some packs, models, textures, anything that can help me in this. Thanks in advance! Goodbye

I was looking for some free resources, but, if you have the specific package i'm looking for with high-quality, i'm willing to pay your price.

I don't know if this is any use to you but you can have it if you want.

It isn't FPSC ready (.dbo) but I am sure that you or someone else can sort that out.

Here is a screenie of it:

and this is the reference image I used to make it:

Wow, that looks really good Scraggle. Thanks. You made the textures from that image or you took other shots?

It's all from that image ... with the exception of the roof.

How you made a plain texture from a bad photo like that? And not plain, also.

It was a very high resolution photo that I took in Jamaica. I scaled it down and reduced its quality just to display on the forum. The crop tool in Photoshop has a perspective correction function, so it was actually a very easy thing to do.

I took several other reference pictures of other buildings but I haven't done anything with them yet.

One of the hardest tasks in my project right now is the material needed. It's very very hard to find pictures of brazilian shanty towns, or models. I'm currently working with grunge models and such. But, without the right material, i can't give that "original" feel to the game.
