I think it'd be helpfull if we all made a list of usefull tools like map editors, 3d modeling software and what not.... I will be adding them as I find them, but help would be appreciated if you could give a link.. I see alot of people asking questions on these..

Thanks alot and I hope this turns out to be helpfull

I agree. I need an easy to use 3D modelling program and have two that I can't seem to get to grips with.

If anyone can give some help on these I would love it.

Amapi 3D 5.15
3DS MAX 4.2

Also something to "skin" characters would be nice too. I have some art but can't seem to get it to "skin" correctly.

I like quill3d from just the demo I've used.

I plan on ordering it sometime today or tomorrow.

Nice thing is that it does your uv mapping, mesh building, and world building all in one package.Only $59 I believe

Mattman, what did you think of quill3d?

I'm thinking about purchasing it, as I've messed around with the demo. exports to .X format though (ewwwwww), but I might be able to convert it too something else once I get milkshape.
(why did Mete have to take a vacation till the 18th, lol)

Oh right free tools, blender, lightray3d.(maybe not for noobs though)

3D Canvas Pro has a pretty good tutorial.
Is there a good tutorial for Cartography Shop? It's pretty hard to use
