These are the list of steps I used, please read through them and let me know if I missed anything.

1) I created my model in Maya
2) I then exported to .obj using their plugin
3) I then pulled the model into UVMapper Classic and created my uv map and then exported the image file and the model.
4) Created my texture in photoshop and then exported the texture to a .jpg
5) Pulled the .obj file back into maya and exported as .X
6) Copied all files to the entity / user folder of FPSC and ran the entity maker.
7) Exectuted fine, but did not show me the texture on preview graphic.
8) Model opened in FPSC, but the texture was not applied.
9) I checked the FPI file and the texture name and extension were correct.

Sorry about the long list, but I just wanted to detail my steps.

What am I missing, does anyone have any advice?

Never mind I figured it out.

I am cheating by pulling the file into milkshape and exporting from there. My first model came out looking like a cartoon.. Looks Like I need some learn'n in the texture making department.
