Hey Lee,

Just a suggestion for the next build or update it would be nice to see on the loading area of the game when the levels are loading near the bar area, something that informs users and gamers what is being loaded or a percentage of completion of the loading of the level.

I have seen this in other games and would be nice to see as it would give users an idea of how long to wait.

Example on our test builds in the editor is a perfect example of this.

Only computer game developers take interest in that sort of thing. No gamer cares what's loading. They just want to play.

And the loading bar is doing a fine job already.

I agree with you Fastburn.

If i am playing a game i would like to see something appear (map name) such as: Loading Episode 1 - 2 ...

Not just a bar that goes across the screen.

I knew I wasn't crazy asking for this. I think personally it would help out alot since well be honest not everyone has a super tower so loading can take some time and if for heaven forbid it crash while trying to load at least the gamers or users can point out where it crashed exactly.

Could be a model pack or who knows.

I already have suggest that to Rick a month ago , he was going to contact Lee about it. Never got a replay or somethings...
They just have A lot of important things to do right now.

But yea it will be great if that show up in the next update

You also could create in-game credits as half-life 2 in the begin.

I really hope that they will put the nice effect back to the engine like the Motion blur , depth of field , screen shake etc..
They were great in tech demo .

@ Keo C - Do you have an example of what you are speaking of I personally would like to see the script and how you got it to work.

Well, it is possible with alot of work and workarounds. Just tell me how you want it setup. I'll see what I can do. I was thinking of multiple huds. I've never played Half-Life 2 though.

well ye ofc you can do it with script but you will never have a nice appear and fade effect.
Also it will be much easier to just type the text then create the images , it will save a lot of work.

Best
