My Model Viewer

This is a little utility I put together so that I could browse through my X files, view them, and export them as DBOs. You use the mouse to navigate, and you can set properties, export, etc. using the various buttons on the side.

Progress

So far you can edit basic appearance properties, export your model as a DBO, and texture it. I'm gonna add some shaders tomorrow, normal mapping being my highest priority.

When it's ready, I guess. I've still got a lot of work that I hope to complete before I release a final version.

::Update::

I've added normal mapping--though, not well--as well as a few preset shapes you can make. The EXE is attached to my first post.

EDIT:

Nevermind, the normal mapping turned out to be a disaster, so I've removed it for the time being.

Okay, I've made a couple of fixes and added some small features. A new version is available in my first post, as well as a screenshot of it.

Hi Andrew looks great...

But Please...

Try and fix the fps. Its going really slow for me. about 9 fps.

Also please dont give up on the normal mapping....
(I am desperate for this feature...please try and get it to work soon ! )

Also may i suggest a spin start/stop button to make the model spin round, without having to manually rotate.

Also may I take a look at the source code, so that I can modify it for personal use only ( I will be finishing my MA in Computer Game Design this year, and it would be great if i could personalise the interface to fit in with the rest of my project )

Thanks

Danny
