Why are the eyes like that...? I think normal shaped eyes would look a lot better on him.

It looks good, of course; but are you intending it to look cute or evil or friendly?

Reminds me of Quintin Tarentino .

I agree with Ruccus, eyes make him look kinda weird, more traditional goblin eyes would look better, not so much of a slant, more bulbous and bright.
I don't think showing wires of that right now would reveal much, it's clearly too high poly for use in a game, but if you get it as a normal map and lower poly mesh then that would be nice to see.

Nice work so far though.

less is more, but if less is more how you keeping score?

here's wire if you want it (I know there are a few bad poles)

as you have already guessed, it is for creating textures

since posting this thread I have reduced the angle of the eyes, update first post. I modled the eyes like this to avoid looking like other characters

I agree, but more of a cross between Quintin and Jack Black.

Its looking good so far! But I have to agree with the others, the eyes just don't sit right.

Looks good. The eyes need a little tweaking though, make the eye more realistic.

You mean geometry - you can see his topology without wireframe.

And Barbara Streisand.

Looks good mate, you need to get some of your poly/edge loops to be more efficient - like the forehead and eye areas - study some muscle diagrams for the face and see how they flow to know how to get your polys/edges to flow more efficiently. (Your forehead 'muscles' don't look capable of showing realistic facial expressions)

And I think the eye problems are fairly obvious now.

Good stuff and keep it up.

The chin is weird. Looks like you just pulled the polygons out with the sculpt tool. Seems kinda like you didn't put much effort into shaping it or you haven't finished it yet. Pretty cool model though.

Eyes are too slanted, but it does keep him looking more unique. It's up to you, you're the artist.

I agree about the eyes. Plus he looks much too happy for a goblin.

topology as in the arrangement of polygons. I need improvement in that area so I like to see others who know what they're doing

I like the eyes, makes I original other than everyone saying "Go back to the normal eyes."

What I think, is make the nose a little les human and maybe a bit more pointy? Just my 2 cents.
