Alright, so I've been looking all around the FPSC forums, and I have not found an answer I've been looking for. The EFX MOD makes it as if there are no lights imported into my FPS Creator map. I've heard rumors that I need a Relief Mapping Shader pack? If you know, please reply. Thanks!

It seems the Mod sometimes screws the lightmapping up - a repair install usually helps

maybe it's the ambient light that is causing your problem - what do you mean exactly?
and which FPSC version do you use?

there's no Relief Mapping Shader Pack
the relief shader is included and you can apply it like you do with the BCRA/Bumpbone/Bumpent/... Shaders
But you need a "_NR" Map (nicely named after Normal-Relief, because it's a normalmap with the height map in the alpha channel)

My System: Intel Xeon 3060 @ 2,4 GHz, Asus Commando, 2GB DDR2-800 RAM, Thermaltake Shark Black, Sapphire Radeon HD2900XT, Samsung Syncmaster 245B 24"

well, what i mean is when i simply add a light to my map and run the game, the light doesn't show up, and everything is dark. i'm kind of a newcomer to FPS creator.

Filling your map with dynamic lights doesn't sound like a good solution to me.

I would try re installing as Nighthawk suggests.

Incidentally, does the _NR map (normal relief) work for segments (floors and walls) or just entity floors and walls in special cases?

Also, can the relief.fx file be used in an FPSC built game which isn't using the EFX mod or is this a dependancy?

I might stick with Lee's updates for v1.08 which presumably wont work with this mod but would still appreciate being able to use a decent surface shader for segments.

Cheers
