Intro

ok - this is my latest WIP, since i purchased BlueGUI I've been playing around, making Random GUIs, Then, a few days ago, i friend of mine needed a new FTP Program (their old one Stopped uploading to their server correctly) so, i offered to make them a new one. when i got BlueGUI ( a couple of days later) i started making it. rFTyPer was the Result.

About rFTyPer

well, it's an FTP program, currently in V1.0 Stage, made with DBPro.
About the name - yes, i know, it's not pronounceable unless you have two windpipes and can pronounce words with more than 3 consonants next to each other. The name is this because, on some other forums, I use the name Rtyper - i found that the word FTP (almost) fits into Rtyper and the name rFTyPer was born. If you want a version of the name that you can actually say, you can call it "rFTP".

Some Screenshots!

here is a basic screenshot of the UI:

It also has a proper File Browsing Dialog:

Known Bugs

Sometimes The error Popup is blank.

The Files in the Directory Bit at the bottom has been removed because it doesn't work right at the moment.

SOLVED

It will seemingly crash for a few seconds when uploading.
Outro

ok, well, i'm open to possible Functions to add to this - i'm aiming for it to eventually have loads of features and be used by a fair few people!
P.S - i'll be uploading V1.0 soon. i want to work a few bugs out of it first though.

Seems nice. Personally I do not really have any use for an FTP at the moment, but it is still interesting. Will keep an eye on this.

ok - little update:
i've added a change directory button and moved things around a bit.
this is so that now you don't need to re-connect to change the directory.

Yeah, it askes if you want to do it or not but only have an "Ok" button. Would be better with an "Yes" and an "No" button.

@blobby, do you have a list of functions you intend to add?

@satcHmo, did you spell your sig "wrong" on purpose?

oops, yeah, i called the wrong Windows dialog by accident lol. i've fixed it now.
@Virtual Nomad: i don't really have a list, no. But i have had some ideas:

Web browser (just standard BlueGUI IE integration) so that you can view a page and check that files have been uploaded correctly.
a preview box, to see what a picture you have chosen looks like.
a working files in this directory box at the bottom.

I still would be happy to hear other's ideas though.

hi, sorry for the *Massive* bump, but:
i have been secretly working on this in my lair and it's now in V2.0. I will put some new screenshots up shortly and I'll upload this version in about 2/3 days time because i'm a bit busy at the moment

First though, FEATURES!

Can upload and download files from any FTP server.

Now uses XP themes

has a check box that asks you whether or not to launch the page upon upload completion

the files in directory bit has been removed and replaced by an "Open web directory" button which shows the directory in your browser.

I've moved the GUI about a bit to make it easier to read and have more space to add new features.

As always i want to hear for other features for it. Heck, they don't even have to be particularly FTP related, i Just want to add things to it

Your signature has been erased by a mod - 340 KB is a little big don't you think?

Looks good man.

How do you do so that you can click a button and then another window pops up.

Like this:

On the top there is a button called FTP and another called More Functionality coming

well, you create your Tab gadget (i did it in Rainbow) and then i detected the tab gadget as event source and mouseclick ad event type and then hid/showed parts of the Layout accordingly.

Ok, thanks.

But do i need a variable to check if the gadgets are hidden or shown or will it do that automatically?
