Not sure how many people here know about DomWar. I heard Fletcher mention it in his FPSC Fantasy Pack thread, did some research and checked it out at the game artisans forum (where Im now registered as Adam.Eisfeld).

Anyways this is my current concept WIP im working on:

Kind of a cross between a lion and a human. I havent decided what his element will be / where it will be located, Im thinking of going with Darkness / Void.

Ive got some other ideas for different characters Im toying with, 1 is a child, the other is a nature giant, but I dont have any digital concepts of them done yet.

Let me know what you think, Ill try to update this post as I update my DomWar thread at artisans.

P.S: Theres a mod at the artisan forums named "FredH", that you Fred?

Cool looking. Pretty blurry drawing though, haha. Of course, it's for reference.

you're with game artisans then eh? in that case, i suddenly decided i hate you.

haha, just kidding. Best of luck man, looks like a fun model, looking forward to seeing how you go with it.

yeah well seeing as the only forums Im a part of are the artisans and tgc, I had to go with them.

Raises the question as to why there isn't a TGC team, with me, you, oleg, FredH, JRee, and... everyone else I've forgotten. Maybe next year, especially if one of us wins .

On a side note, my entry thread seems to have been deleted on the artisan forums... what the hell .

Just some ideas Ive been working out:

Going more into the animal side of things now.

Are you doing a Concept or Model for it?
If you're going to enter this as just a concept, mind if I bring it to 3D life?

Want to enter this year, but not had the time to pan anything out recently.

Im modeling it for the 3D competition so... yeah Id mind a bit . Sorry Raven.

But if you give me an idea of what you're looking for, like any ideas / what alignment and weapons you would imagine your character having, I could do a few concepts of him/her if you dont have the time. I draw all day at school anyways.

However Im not sure if Im going to be modeling this one if I chose one of my other concepts, if I decide not to Ill let you know.

Thanks.

Some more work:

I tried turning him into a dog (a rottweiler) just to see how he'd look, since I had the name "Underdog" in my mind....

And in 1st period today I drew some rough sketches of a completely different character called "The Storyteller" although I might switch it to "The Artist" or "The Architect". The story behind this guy is basically he has his paper and his magic "scribe tool" (pencil...), and whatever he writes, happens in real life. Though I think thats pushing his powers a little far since he could just write something like "I win the war", which is why Im switching it to whatever he draws comes to life.

Initial concept:

Model Pose:

A possible entry pose:

The sash he has on carries his drawing supplies... paper and pencils and stuff like that. I doubt Ill enter him though since the model wouldnt be hard to make at all and Im sure part of the judging goes towards the complexity of the model.

Let me know what you think,

I like the story teller though I dont think he quite matches the style of dom war then again what do I know. You could model him in a more muscular fashion or even add more clothing or armor.

as for the other concept. I think with the body it currently has your better off with a semi cat creature . but maybe if you change his body to be more sleek and muscular the dog concept might work.

just my 2 cents take it with a grain of salt.

I completely agree. I've been trying to think of a way to make the storyteller (now Im calling him "the architect") less toon-like and more manacing. I might switch paths and go with a really elderly, wise looking character, pretty tall, with like a spectacle... I dont know yet, too early to decide, just gona keep pumping out concepts for the next week.

And yeah the dog concept was just a really quick idea, I agree the feline approach would be better to go with. Although he still needs a lot of work to get his proportions out of the standard human ones. I think bigger feet and hands and a taller build.

I like the current look of him. He just kind of seems lethargic and helpless, even though he has the great power of bringing things to life.

he seems sad, which is strange seeing as he appears to have the ability to create any form of existence he can think of... even ice cream, and believe me, if i could summon large quantities of ice cream with a piece of paper and pencil i would never be sad.

..

nice concept.

I wanted him to seem kind of sad. Like a child stuck in a beast's body, just trying to draw whatever he thinks of. But then he can get angry (like in the last picture) and start creating destructive things.

I gave him that much mass because in order to defeat him enemies will obviously try to take his pencil. I just have this image in my mind of an enemy running at him to get the pencil and him drawing with one hand and punching the guy in the face with the other.

Well that was the head of the first guy, in a bit more of a human rendition.

Here's some more progress on the other guy. Ive decided theres a child that does the drawing, and whatever the child draws, the big guy turns into.

you have alot of great ideas I bet its hard to choose.

I love the new concept for the architect, I think you should definitely pursue it farther man. Also...

Heres another concept I've been toying with:

Though if I do go with the archer I think Ill still work in some sort of "Architect" skill into him. Maybe remove the bow and give him a hammer .

Really nice man. The only thing I don't like about the archer is the bow looks kinda like the moon
