@ RICK

I have a another question:

Is there any chance that a gift function can be added to the Store's point purchase routine?

It would ask for the recipient email and thats all you would need. (other than the purchaser being logged in)
If the email is a valid registered store user, then it would credit their account and send confirmation to both parties. (giver/recipient)
If the email was not valid then it would tell the purchaser to double check their entry and not process the purchase.

That way we could buy points for someone else as a gift.
Not only would it probably increase sales but it would also make it easy to offer points as the prize in forum contests.

Just a thought.

If a gift purchase feature is already there in the store, then someone please point it out to me because I overlooked it.

@Conjured Entertainment

I offered points a prize in a comp, but it was complicated.
I contacted Rick and he told me to pay at a certain place, then TGC put the points on the right account.
But I would like it to be more easy to do.

So I agree with you.

I'm sure they don't want to any extra manual processes either, so maybe they will incoporate this into the store.
It would make it easier for everyone.

This would have been a nice feature prior to christmas, but there is still time for next year.
Wait a minute...what am I saying??? Bah Humbug!

Just took a look at my music in the store, specifically NightCrawl. I took a screenshot; Look at the description, then look at the number of downloads, spooky!

How often do you get paid, is there a minimum before pay out. What are the rules on this?
Also to sign up, you just contact Rick, and he sets you up an account?

Ill send Rick a mail to set up my sellers account, what I like about the store is how cheap some of the users are, you see a seller putting up an item and getting like 20 or 30 sales, then they put a free item up and it will have over a 1000+ downloads.

You actually like that part?

Actually I don't think the users are all that cheap so much as there are distinctly two categories of store users: Ones who are willing to pay money and those who are not. If you want to make quota, it is probably better to sell your media for realistic/non-cheap prices and count on the people who know they would be getting a bargain at twice the price.

I've heard some people say it's better to sell an item 100 times for $1 each rather than 10 times for $10 each because you make the same money but more people happier or something like that but I think it would prove difficult to find 100 people willing to pay at all. Now, consider the amount of people charging like 10-20 points for an item and how long that will take to pay-out. My point here is that if the media is of good/high quality, they might as well charge accordingly if a monthly pay-out is the goal.

I've been selling via the store for almost a year now. Guess how much of a profit I've made: $12.25.

I've had no payouts, and will happily stand by this. I think its been a waste of time.

I have been selling since the start (even before that, when the store still wasn't released) and I have $120, and TGC will take half of it

But its a really simple way to sell your models, you don't have to do much. TGC will fix allmost everything so its quite comfortable.

There are people selling only music/background music/atmospheric sounds in the store.

What do you mean? Its real people behind each model/song/etc, it takes time to make quality stuff so don't expect us to throw out hundreds of new models each week

If can produce top quality media on a daily basis, and work during the day then please sign up for a seller account and wow us. If you can't, then who are you to criticize?

I should have put way more stuff in the store by now.
I have no problem modeling, uv'ing, or animating, but my texturing skills are still bad.
It's my poor textures that prevent me from adding more stuff.

Maybe he meant to say some people, because he had a few users like me in mind.
If so, then he is right, and not really criticizing as much as he is just stating a fact.
The store does have a lot of potential, and a lot of the approved vendors are not producing what they could be.

I had big plans for adding animated stuff, and I feel bad that I haven't yet, so I will try to add something soon.

On a side note: There were ten items added to the store just yesterday.
