I'm trying to import models into FPS Creator x10 through the entity maker, but I can't seem to get the textures to show up. The textures are targa format, but for some reason it won't work. Anyone know anything?

Ok, I did that, and I got the texture to show up. However, I think the uv map is all crap. I got the uvmap from 3ds max, modified it, and when I put it on the object in max, it applies it right. However, when I apply it to the model in FPS x10, it goes all wierd on me, applying it everywhere in wierd areas. Know how to fix that?

Why not just redo the uv map with uv mapper or ultimate unwrap?

I haven't tried that, but I will take that into consideration, thanks. I modified it a little more, and tried it in FPS Creator X9, and got results. But it's still not working in X10. Is there something different between the two?

Ok, now my object won't even show up in the game anymore. I used ultimate unwrapper and lithunwrap. Both show that it is perfect, just how I want it. However, in FPS x10, it still isn't working! I don't know what's going on now?

Are you saving it as a DDS?
Are you using the _D _N and _S naming conventions?
Also make sure you alpha channel is correct.

Ok, please, tell me how to make sure the alpha channel is correct, cause I have no idea what the heck that is. Sorry, I'm fairly new to modeling, but I want to create some of my own models packs to distribute and of course make an awesome game out of. Thanks for the help.

Ok, now I got the textures loaded and everything, except now everytime I egt near my object, it disappears. Does anyone know why that happens?

And thanks for the help to all that answered and will answer my questions. I really appreciate it.

How near are you getting? If the collision isn't correct, you could go inside an object. You should post screenshots of what's going on.

All right, here's a picture of what happens, first, the object itself.

Then, the actual thing that happens, it disappears. I'm pretty sure that Uthink is correct, that the collision is wrong. However, I have it set on box collision right now, should it be on another?

Oh, sorry. Well, I scaled the computer monitor down, and now it isn't doing it. I have no idea. But, is it because of the collision type. What would a static, computer monitor-like object have for a collision type. I would think box-collision, because this object is shaped most like a box. But when would you use polygon or reduced, etc.? Thanks guys for all your help with this also. I really appreciate it. This community has been soo cool to newbs. Thanks guys.
