Hi,

I'm adding/changing some stock animations on a FPSC character in Milkshape. I'm finding it tricky because of the 2000+ frames that already exist.

For example, I want to play around with the 'idle' animation - do I have to adjust each individual frame of that existing idle animation within the 2000 frames? It seems I can't set keyframes easily doing that.

Is there any way of creating the animation on a new version of the model, then copying and pasting those new animation frames into the existing one, for example?

Any advice/suggestions about how you tackle this would be really welcome!

either
a) make your new idle animation at the end of the stock ones, and reference your new animation as the idle animation in the character's FPE file

OR

b) Turn off "operate on selected joint only" in the animation menu, and delete the keyframes for the idle animation, then make your own in the space you've created.

Many thanks for your reply, I'll give those a try. I guess, like most things with FPSC, it also comes down to lots of trial and error, and practice (unless you're naturally gifted like a few lucky souls around here).
