The cd contains the source code files of all the sample projects in the book, darkbasic demo's, DirectX 8.1, demos of games and some other trial versions of the software.

But more importantly the book does come with the cd anyway at amazon.com ?!?!?!?

your internet isp usually gives you 1 to 5 emails with your net connection.

Ask mum or dad if your young to use one of their emails or ask a friend who has theres set up and get them to print it off and email you a copy to your freemail.

I bough the book and I think you can learn easier on internet than in book because the book don't tell you that much about:

how to do that...
or
how to do it if...
or
if this is...
or
this should be...
or
the problem is with...

Even the tutorials in the book are not that usefull

So i really think the book don't worth that much
i bough it 106.79$$

and I think its a rip-off because only 400-500 pages "~"

But for the same price i bought VB programming(From jonathan) with 1010 Pages

see the difference.

Well.
Thats it. Enjoy the book!!!

I think it's only like $85 from the db website, maybe i did the conversion wrong though.
And yes it is 714(or 715) pages I believe.

Well, visual basics is a whole different story.Plus you can't make a comparision between a visual basic book and the db book, because you havn't given enough information about the VB book.

Well, if you're already programming in VB, I will assume that you have some programming knowledge. The db book basically gets you from basic coding to intermidiete in the db language.

So really I can see your arguement, and I'm not trying to flame you, but the book really is for beginners.

Yes the CD is important as there are several errors in the source code provided in the book that the CD has correct.

Yes the book covers DB & DBPro.

The book so far covers all and by far more than what has been provided with the online tutorials.
