Hi All, don\'t know if this is the right section, but just wanted to introduce myself. I\'m a new user and have just started using FPSC and think it is very good indeed. I used the demo to see what it was like and have just ordered the full version (waiting for it to be dispatched now, can\'t wait). I have a couple of ideas for fps including one loosely based on the Dungeon Master (FTL) maps, only not medieval. I am not hugely technically proficient, I\'m not a professional game designer or anything, just wanting to create some games after playing them for years.

Anyhoo, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi, hope this is ok, apologies if posted in wrong place..

See you around...

Well, thank you all for a very warm welcome! I will read the manual at some point, I'm one of those people who likes to tinker first and read the manual later (more fun that way... ) but I think my first port of call will be the tutorial videos. Anyhow, at least I know there's plenty of places to turn to when I start banging my head against a brick wall (the most important part of any creative process... ).

Speak to you all soon...

Okay, tinkering first and reading the manual is fine, but remember to read through the manual when you encounter a problem before posting here and asking, as the manual holds the answer to most questions we get.

I usually don't read manuals of programs. I just check them out, and mass around with the functions until I found out all the nede things. But I sometimes read tutorials and stuff, but it's just fun, finding out things.
But you need to know somethings that are hard to find out, like the shortcut keys.

Creativity is more important than knowledge.
