hi,

Dunno bout you, but on every DBPro program that I make the litte arrow cursor sort of flashes all the time.

Anyone know why this is?

Its because the mouse is controlled by the GDI, and the graphics by DirectX - the GDI is overwritten by the DirectX stuff.

Use HIDE MOUSE to get rid of the arrow.

yes, I could do that, but I wan't to be able to see the mouse arrow.
Anyone know how I can get round this?

Do what MtTAToad suggested, then position a sprite at the mouse position as a substitute pointer.

I want it to be like a proper program using the proper windows cursor.

I can't think of any other way to do what you want - just get an image of your current mouse pointer and use it.

It can be like a 'proper' program, just do what Ian has suggest, do a Print Screen of the cursor, edit/crop it so you only have the white arrow (or simply draw your own) then set up as a sprite (in a loop) and have the co-ordinates as your mouse cursors.

For example:
