Hey all you out there in the FPSC world!

I'm just here to ask a simple question:

Who would want this Mod?

What is this mod, you ask?

Well, this Mod wouldn't do anything like efxMod, or maybe even Lemur, but it would expand the scripting language!

How?

Simply put, it would allow you to declare up to and utilise 100 named global variables.

That's it.

You'd get the basic mathematical scripting commands to add, subtract, multiply, divide, or even modulus the variables with a set value or with another variable.

You'd also be able to use conditions that check equality, greater than, or less than to a set value or to another declared variable.

Now that you know what it is, would you want it? You get nothing more than V1.07 functionality as well as what's mentioned above.

It really sucks the way things happen here. Just when 1.08 fixes some speed issues, you want to release global variables. Of course, that leaves us back in 1.07

Global variables that I have been begging for since the beginning of time...... or the speed increase. Hmmmmm.

Lee is finishing 1.08 soon and plans to add a few more member-requested items to 1.09 before starting on the merged version of X9/X10. I wonder if he will put some variables in 1.09?

Why can't I have it all now? LOL

Yes.... I would love the chance to play with some variable and discover the possibilities.

Thanks.

Sounds like a really good idea Plystire

Wouldn't it be better just to add this functionality to Lemur and make it v3 once it's done?

I can't see anyone trading in bloom, water and all the other cool stuff Lemur and EFX have for variables.

Don't forget that Lee has confirmed variables (5 I think) for an update in the near future.

I just hope he makes the source code available a bit more often so you guys can continue making FPSC such a great tool.

Lee said 5 per entity, and I think some global variables.

Awesome, guys.

I asked because I threw it together in a couple hours last night, and I don't think it fair to make people pay for something that didn't take long to do.

Perhaps it'll get put into the next free version of Lemur.

I'm going to make a new thread soon with the download link and a small "HowTo".

But first, I'm going to add another little something or two to the code for you guys, since I think all the scripters here need it.

That would be insane!

Please include it with Lemur, I'd rip myself in half trying to choose between the two.

me slacking? That's a good one. Not a single one of my testers have even noticed the new beta that's been posted up in the testing board (except gunn3r, but he's excused from testing for now), so GO TEST IT!

The sooner it gets tested (fully), the sooner I'll release the Bloom beta.

I already found bugs in it, so if you don't find at least one of them, I'll know you're not doing your job.
