just wondered
i take it you only need to write set object cull object number,1 once at the start to make object 1 constantly not draw away facing polygons.

I take it i dont need to put it in the loop to update the polyogns it hides.

Right!

... unless you delete it and re-create it, then you need to reset it.

It's because DBPro has that type of culling enabled by default.

If you are trying this to get a speed-up, I'm afraid you'll not be able to get it faster than it is without reducing the number of poly's in your object.

However, Update 5 will include a new octree system that should give you an increase in speed, by automatically reducing the number of poly's that are passed to DirectX for rendering (it clips those that cannot be seen by the camera).

lol .. its smoother with culling off...
but still as IanM said, Dx has a built in culling to not render any triangles not facing the camera any more than 91.0°

The only reason for using culling off is if you're using a skybox/skysphere, or you are ghosting objects, in which case, you need to see the opposite facing pollies! Speed comparisons on most modern hardware accelerators are pretty insignificant.

hehe good for you bad for me

But the idea of culling is that polygons that are not visible to the camera are not drawn if this is the case dark basic pro should work faster. From the graphs this is not the case.So can i conclude that this command doesnt work. cananyonegive me a program where it has worke
