Do not get the 7300 NO NO NO

get at least a 7600gt or +

also stay way from the P4's

2gb ram is great

Heres my recomended:

Athlon 64x2 3800 and a compatibal mother board
2gb ram
At least a 7600gt or +

So you don't know if it's integrated, or if there is an upgrade slot and what type it is. I agree with pain. The 7300GT is yesterdays technology, and would be a waste of time and money.

m Man i was looking towards a budget for the poor guy plus i am a PC repair man Working for B and B computer, doing house calls and custom builds all the time. So i know my stuff,

The 7900 and the 7600gt are almost the same, just a little bit faster clocks, but really you dont need faster clocks to build a game.

If you were a pro gamer or a pro Game Designer then i would recommend the Geforce 9's or the Quadro's thats are just now getting out. But hes just on a budget, im guessing because we all are.

I sure hope my graphics card isnt intagrated because I'm upgrading it myself. I dont want to buy another motherboard.

K I cant upgrade the mem. to 2 gigs (only 1 gig) and the graphics card is intergraded. So i need a new computer, can you guys give me some computers with:

Sorry for triple posting but i decided to just buy a barebones kit and build of that. The cost totals to around 250-300 dollars, which is amazing for that price.

just make sure that if your pulling old peices from your old box that they will work with your new box, And if you want good deals on parts go to Newegg.com

I go to TigerDirect. They carried a card that Newegg didn't.
I really don't see much of a difference. I guess it's more of a personal preference. TigerDirect or Newegg, doesn't really matter.

IDK about TigerDirect, they're probably fine, but I went to newegg and got some sweet prices on my system. (see signature).

What kind of budget are you working off of?

Intel Q6600 at 3.0 GHz; XFX nVidia GeForce 8800GT 512mb; 4 Gigabytes of RAM; and FPSC. Oh, and ignore my name.

i got my computer parts off Newegg, except the video card, because they didn't have the one I wanted. I got that off TigerDirect.
