First of all, english is not my native language, so please bear with me or ask for clarification if something isn't 100% clear...sorry.
I need some indepth explanation on how to exactly set up a character for multiple shaders in dbpro.
I know that this would function through the use of limbs, but how exactly do I specify or prepare my model in 3ds Max in order to do so ? Let's say I have a character, I want to use 2 shaders on it, which are a hair shader and a normal map shader.
What would I have to do to create a "limb" ?
Do I detach the hair as an extra object ? Do I detach it as an separate element ? Or do I create polygon groups and name them accordingly ?
I would be very thankful for an explanation on the modelling and coding side. An example would be just great.
