I made this for fun, its very simple and quick to made. I hope no one made this before and posted here.

It a medium poly Bender with more than 2500 Triangles.

APPLAUSE

If I have more time and someone want I will post a free low poly bender for the community can modify, add texture, animate or use as a dummy robot in beta test.

Thanks

Thats the worst model of Dr. Zoidberg I have ever seen!

But seriously. Good model! Only crit:
The head looks a little too tall. Might want to make it shorter.

Yes its some thing strange in the head, but I dont think that was a head size, if you look these picture head its almost same size than body but quite small.

Maybe its the visor (eyes) are too low or the curve top are to low.I'll fix it... Thanks
(If you know what I mean because as you see I'm not from English spoken country)

Edited:
Bender 2.0

Fixed: Head was a little fat, body a little thin in the upper, and head have too much curve and visor was a little down. Also fixed lower right of "A" on the FUTURAMA logo >.< .

And now what do you think ? Of course you will see a little large because screenshot was taken from little up, but you think the problem still there ?

I think if you modeled the mouth or got it to the point of texturing and added the mouth, his head would stop looking as excessively tall. But anyways, looks good

It does look like good work. This is the second time I've seen someone do Bender the Robot [do I have that name correct?]. It looks like a fun model to build.

I scanned a few pics on the web,.. if I use 'inches' as the scale, the diameter of his head is 2 1/4" the diameter of the upper body (biggest part) is 4 inches, it looks to me that your porportions are a bit off.

As for the height, if the head is 4" tall, the body is closer to 5" you have to take into account the angle of viewing, I have not found any 'straight-on' pictures of your bot source.

Anyways I hope this helps,.. very nice model.

Cheers!

Hey, it looks great David.

Sounds like you're having trouble with some scale issues. I took a few minutes to make you a proper concept image of bender since there aren't any on the net. Its to scale as I got the original from a screenshot of bender from futurame off youtube and then just rotated his parts to be in concept-pose / gave him a more straight-on head.

The screen capture:

The cut:

The final:

I dont know if it'll help or not, I just figured if you load this up into your modeling app and tried lining everything up, you could get a sense for what scales need changing.

Still looks great, Id imagine modeling Fry's uncle would be more fun though, his eyes and wrinkles and whatnot.

<edit>

And DB Programmer, watch this to see what you're missing out on: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=PqXrcYLV-L0&feature=related

Hope it helps,

My problem may be that I don't have cable and I don't watch TV. I'm not very human am I?

I agree the model does look great, I even ended my previous post with "Very nice Model". I was just trying to help. the only thing I could see that might be off was the proportions, so that's what I commented on. 36x24x36 is not 38x24x36, and although not many (if any) men would complain when an error is made on the + side, to remain honest and true to the original let's keep things in proportion

Keep up the great work, cheers!

Doh, sorry. No I didnt mean it like that, I thought you were the one modeling Bender, didnt see the original poster, just saw you with the reference images so I assumed it was your model. Ok then nevermind . Wasnt trying to stir up anything, just thought you were the one asking for help with proportions.
