I've been using a couple of different exporters for 3DS Max, and so far, I've had the most success with Panda Xporter, but bone animation is still a problem. The mesh gets all Picasso on me, but whenever I choose not to export bones, the model comes up fine (but it's not animated, of course). Some models have had separate objects, but even after I tried making it an editable mesh, and attaching the objects together, only the first object showed up at all.

I'm just wondering if there are specific settings that will work for DarkBASIC, or if there is some other way to get them converted, because I know people have been able to do this, I just can't figure out why it's not working for me. Thanks.

The following thread might be of some help to you. It's the only thing that kicked up in the search engine that seems to cover your problem.

If this doesn't help then you might read completely through the Blender sticky at the top of this forum's page. This is because it sounds as if you are experiencing some of the same problems that Blender users are encountering with their animated models.

Eternal student in search of knowledge. But will settle for the occasional epiphany.

That seems like it might work, thanks. Trying that now.

If you're comfortable with sending me the mesh you can try exporting it as a .3ds, sending it to me at adam.eisfeld at gmail dot com and i'll convert it through Deep Exploration to a .x, to see if that'll work. Ill delete the mesh from my machine directly after but if you dont feel safe with that I understand.
