Would it be possible to change the firing effect of a weapon and the death script of the enemy(ies) when hit by a grenade style projectile an explosion effect and death animation gives the effect of a "Black hole"?

Sorry if that sentence made no sense. It is probably the worse sentence structure ever...

You mean a grenade launcher, but except for an explosion, it "warps" something into a black hole? If so, it's not easy to change flak explosions. I could elaborate if at all worth it...

OR do you mean the death script of an entity is a black hole? If you want the illusion of the character being warped into the hole, use some re-animating. If not, create a black-hole decal (I'm assuming that you already have a decal prepared?) and modify a destroy script accordingly.

Again, tell me which problem and I'll elaborate as easily as possible.

I mean the first so it's effective on multiple enemies.

Black Hole Gun, they had one of those in the film Blade Runner, the gun Leon has at the start when he shoots Holden is a Black Hole Gun.

They also had one on Ratchet and Clank. I believe they called it a "Rift Ripper", though, but the concept is the same.

Cool, but make sure this is the ONLY explosive you'll use, because it'll edit all flak explosions.

1. Go to FPS Creator\Files\gamecore\debris directory.

2. There you shall find two files: fire.dds & smoke.dds.

3. Edit these to change the explosion, meaning the fire file changes the look of explosions and the smoke file changes the look of the smoke.

4. Again, I don't fully understand what you may want, so just edit those files and you should come out fine.

That is the only way to do it, I'm afraid, though I'd LOVE to be proved wrong.

Change the blood decal to your black hole effect, then set the guns iterate and accuracy values higher.

Hey, I haven't thought of that yet! But then again, I don't think the black-hole gun will be the only gun in the game.

Thanks. As soon as I get my copy working again and make an animation (who knows how long that could be) I'll try it.

Is there a way I could say that if this explosion affected the entity they have a different death script/ animation? So it doesn't make them go flying back but makes them appear to be sucked in and delete the mesh yet regular weapons still have a standard death script?

Hah!

Um, dude, you're starting to ask for a lot. For that, you'd have to do a deal of animation on the character. For now...I'm sure there's a death script that immediately destroys a corpse, leaving the weapon behind. BUT you cannot differentiate the Black Hole "explosion" from a gunshot through scripting.
