im using the nvidia photoshop plug-in for making DDS images,

who knows the correct setting for transparency, im using 5.5.5 RGB 16 bpp | unsigned

Well, Alpha is weird in Photoshop. That's why when I'm working on stuff that requires transparency, I like to use The GIMP. The GIMP views transparency AS IS. Photoshop pretty much makes Alpha channels invisible until imported into FPSC. It's odd...

Use 8.8.8.8 unsigned for transparent things.
