Hi,
I have 3 problems with the vehicles in DarkPhysics:

1)How can I delete a vehicle?
I found this thread http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=112298&b=30
But phy delete rigid body ID didn't work.
It gives no error message and doesn't delete the vehicle.

2)How can I position a vehicle?
I tried phy set rigid body position ID, x#, y#, z#
...down't work!

3)How can I stop moving the vehicle immediately?

Thank you,

Kevin

1) I don't know. The only thing that comes to mind is resetting the physics scene, deleting everything in the process.

2) You may have to apply forces to it. I haven't looked into it, but if you can't, you need to position it before it is enabled as a physics object.

3) No idea about stopping it in its tracks in, say, midair, but you could try stopping the wheels from moving at all.

1) Haven't tried deleting a vehicle, can't help you there...

2) phy set rigid body position = on a veicle works just fine for me. I do it with no problems in several programs (to reset the car to a specified position)

3) Also when resetting my vehicle, I 'stop' it completely (so it doesn't bounce off into the sunset right after you reset). I use:
phy set rigid body angular velocity car, 0, 0, 0
phy set rigid body linear velocity car, 0, 0, 0
phy set rigid body linear momentum car, 0,0,0
phy set rigid body angular momentum car, 0,0,0
I don't think I even need the last two honestly. I think I do it in other apps without worrying about momentum.

I've been looking for the last hour for the thread relating to making a vehicle powerslide/drift using those commands (can't remember how to speeel them which is half the problem!!!) asympte or something like that. I remember someone Finally had a working example of a DarkPhysics car drifting and sliding (sort of, mostly HA HA) . Can someone pretty pretty please show me the thread or code snippet again please? Thanks very very much.

Hope that helps.

I agree, there is a poor number of commands following with Dark Physics, they should really consider adding some commands.

For example you should be able to return information for a character controller!

yer I agree with bergice, we need a lot more code for all physic & AI.

they need to add more to the AI Physic linking to!

they just need to sort out all dbp plug-ins, make them more user friendly, and link them better.

VRMan3D her is the download spoke of.
