Okay, so I'm kinda making a COD4 type game... you know, with the room breaching and such.

I'm kinda thinking of a script that would let my allies follow a set waypoint when I press a button... for example,

I want them to clear a room, sooo I press a button to line them up to the side of the door, then one guy with a shotgun blows the door, then the team enters and each follow a specific waypoint for them killing the enemies inside... and you just do what they do...

is this even possible? The part where each ally have their own set waypoint and when I press a button, I trigger an action so that one of them blows up the door... impossible or no...?

Hehehe, that was funny, mgarand.

Welp, for starters, I don't think that you should start with such a big scene. Try to get ONE of your allies through the door and doing what you want before trying to script an entire team to do it.

Another issue you may run into is the waypoints. If you're not careful, your allies will all follow the same one.

The great and forgotten manual teaches you such things. I would read Nickydude's guide as well.

@Anthrax:

Go to the scripting board, and do a search for "AI", one of your results (near the top) should be a tutorial that I've written. The very first section describes how to accomplish this.

Good luck!
