Ummm, you don't need to model your own level, FPSC has segments to build your level...

OK, if you really want this, I can suggest these:

1: Change the entity to static, this should stop the character from going through walls.

2: Add lighting through FPSC.

I don't know if this will help, i'm not a 3D nut.

FPSC doesn't load lightmaps, unless they are baked in the textures, or when they are FPSC generated ones.

Ok People, I've Got It To Load and Collisions Work (Ish), The Problem Is Sometimes The Character Gets Stuck, But I Think i Can Fix That By Scaling The Model To 50ish instead of 40, now the main problem is lighting.

since fpsc wont load my light mapping from 3dws, i have to use fpsc's lights, so i added a couple to see how it looked and boommmm, no textures so any ideas people?

Thanks Tv.

Either UV map it, or bake the shadows in the textures.

3DWS isn't really suited all that well to FPSC

Theoretically it should be possible to import a static entity for the model providing polygon collision is being used not box.

That might cause problems for the texturing though as entities need to be dynamic to support multiple textures and if their dynamic they won't be lightmapped properly, they will just be given a particular light value.

Rolfy makes environments in 3DS Max which he models, textures and gets into FPSC with texture baked lighting and shadows. Perhaps try downloading the demo for that and see how you get on with it.

3DWS is supported with Dark Basic Pro but not advertised as being so for FPSC so I think you'll be doing well if you get it working 100% correct.

Must use one texture ...

I have the some problem in fpsc with 3dws..

The solution is to don't use light from fpsc and to put the light from 3dws..

Or... use one file texture..

Put all your texture image in one image and after select all face and assign the right image to the face..
I use ac3d and work fine with this idea..

Ac3d have texture mapping internal and you can select one texture for your building and after assign to all the face what from the texture file you want.

For me work good.. 3dws with no light and ac3d with unique texture file..

To have collision that works well you need to cut up your your model into 300 by 300 unit pieces, export the pieces individually and then load them into the segment editor. Save your segment and put fpsc stock floor segments under every square but the one that your level is on. If you have baked your textures then you should have your lighting all nice. Fpsc static entities only support 1 texture, unless you are using V1. Rolfy has covered this fairly extensively, going through some of his threads will no doubt be helpful.
