I've always have had problems with FPSC. Now I have a new problem. When I save a game and open it, it deletes my whole level and replaces it with a cement ground. I worked so hard on that f*cking level and FPSC deleted it. How can I fix this?!?!

Not sure how to fix your problems, but heads up on the Mod Edit/Warning.

What version are you using? To fix something like this, I might suggest reinstalling FPSC. Never heard of something like that happening.

Yeah, you might want to take some of that edit cussing
out and what can I tell you? FPSC just sucks for all of us.
We all have problems. Heck, I lost all of 3 months work one time.
FPSC just... dumped it... idk what. But whatever had caused it, get
used to it. FPSC is full of bugs.

Well, Blazed666, you need to learn how to cope with life or you are going to have a real long haul ahead of you. If this is the worst thing that could ever happen you should feel so lucky!

And yes, I could know how you feel because I lost 12 levels of a game and over 8 months work. But, life goes on. I certainly almost gave up on FPSC but I decided to give it another shot. I figured something terrible had happened to certain files and therefore uninstalled everything, deleted the directories and deleted all references to FPSC in the window's registry (Caution is advised in doing that). I then decided not to use any 3rd party exe installers. I do suspect some maliciousness but will not at all point fingers because all it takes is one and all the others are perfectly OK. However, things are looking bright again. Especially as the new versions are coming right along.

Take a deep breath and just make a decision. Either use it or lose it.

I lost an entire game because of a bug in FPSC one. I worked day and night on it.

Find a way to fix it(TGC Support staff), and re-work on the level(Even though you worked your butt off). Hey, when I tried rebuilding by game for a second time(Before my hard-drive crashed, unrelated to FPSC), I found that I was making the levels even better than before.

Give it a shot.

I think some people here need to learn the value of back-ups...

Your problem might have something to do with the 'automatic floor' being turned on in the FPSC preferences.
Try turning it off, this might do the trick.

Only thing I can think of with this problem.

All the best of luck.

Yeah, but I have a feeling your level isn't totally scrapped, sometimes I'll load a level then load another level and when I test the second level, it tests the first level, but changes the player start marker.

And re-making the level can be a positive, as in improving on what you may have not been too sure of before.

Best,
