I have milkshape 3d but I don't how to put the animations in to fps how do i export it ?

Yes, you have to export the animation in .x format.
Then make the fpe file, make sure the texture is .tga or .dds format and also you have to make the thumbnail.

What kind of 3d animated characters do you want to make?

Well actually i want to make a gun and but I would like make a character, I don't what kind of 3d animated characters.

try some other modelling application (milkshape is for beginners)
Try:

Maya
3DS Max
Blender3d

If you want to stick with milkshake, then export as .x.

I am using blender 3d and making animations but i don't know how to put the animations in fps I exported it as an .x file and then opened with entity workshop and then placed it inside fps creator but it appears as an object with no animation

could someone tell how to put it into fps as an animation
please.

What the heck...here's what I do.I export the model as a Milkshape file and then use Ultimate Unwrap 3D to convert it to .x.
I don't know what the deal is with Milkshape's .x exporter but it sucks for animations and can be a crapshoot for entities as well.
I tried like crazy to use the .x exporter in Milkshape.Since the way i do it works better for me I just gave up on it.

This are the options I use in Milkshape 3d, and they work great for me. I use bond1 skeletal system.
