Lol

I have a funny feeling that it may be released when TGC creates their new Main page, the one with the video demonstrating DBPs' cap's (capabilities*).

Don't tell anybody but, I have even been considering using B3D SDK to create my editor, keep this on the down-low

* edited.

Much good work is lost for the lack of a little more.

from what I know the dgdk.net is done and has been for a while now, its the documentation holding up the release

When CR talked about the documentation, don't thing only about Help, Help, Help.

DGDK.NET will probably have more starting tutorials than C++ version, and that's what they're working on AFAIK.

Indeed, documentation has always been an issue with older TGC products. The newer stuff is a different matter though, for instance the plugins have nice detailed documentation. The extra tutorials will definitely benefit the newer users and probably even the veterans.

I guess it's just anticipation waiting for a new toy, like christmas.

Santa being in the form of Apex and TGC.

<- For the reindeer.

CattleRustler is correct. DarkGDK.NET is near completion in terms of the toolkit itself, but it's imperative that both the documentation and tutorials are up to scratch. These are paramount to the success of this product as a brand new release, and I don't want anything to be missing from it.

I can understand and appreciate that alot of you are becomming anxious and are wondering what's happening, and why there's not been any news. Well, I've been keeping my head down basically to get things done. I've even been avoiding IRC and all other forms of communication so that things get done.

Be cool, be patient, and all will be right with the world.

Paul.

ROFL @ Lilith's comment .... and all Microsoft's software will be released open source

But seriously, that's great news Paul. I'm a C++ man myself but I know there are people just itching to get their hands on this. Great work TGC!

@APEX - I know how you feel... I feel the same when working for a customer and he waits for the release. Turn off phone, email, IM etc...

But cant we just get the framework now and then the tutorials later?

Just think of all the extra testing that could get done if we got a sneak peak edition before the rest of the world see's it. Because we already know how to use it, the help files wouldn't be that high of a priority for us.

You may publish it to all the ones that have already have purchase one of the licenses so that you would know that we don’t need the help has much as then the new users. And this way you won’t release it to all the users

Its not that easy. The dgdk.net is being rereleased in conjunction with Microsoft Visual Studio Express (like the c++ one was). So it has to be a complete, market ready kit in order to be released.

Apex can correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure thats the issue

Just one question... Will GDK.NET work with Visual Studio 2008?
