I cannot seem to figure this out for the life of me. I dont know how to make it so that a headshot instantly kills an opponent. How is this done?

I know that its supposed to be some sort of .fpi, but I can't find it anywhere. Help please?

Lokk in the scriptbank. You should see it near the bottom of the first column. But put it in Appear, not Main.

Alright, I found the fpi.

Here is my next question:

With the headshots, how can I edit the value of them? Lets say... a head shot = double damage. Or a head shot deals (X) amount of damage.

Pretty much I want this because of the zombie game I'm making where only headshots really count. Body shots don't do much of anything for you.

...(I don't have FPSC installed on this computer) if memory serves me correctly, this value can be edited in the setup.ini...

By default, it's set at a ridiculously high value like 6999, or so...

@ Seth Black: As quoted from Lee, he said that the headshots cause 65500 damage. Searching is your friend, reminding others of the search bar can go a long way towards your usefullness in the forums.

...okay, so I was off by a couple digits.

It's still a ridiculously high number...

I know cross posting isn't necessarily cool but this is what I had posted in the v108 public beta test thread:

Quote: "I spent about 30 to 45 minutes testing the headshot fpi (appearwithheadshot.fpi) using headshotdamage. Hey, I'm retired, I can spend my time now anyway I want.

If you set it to "25" it will take six shots to bring em down. Set at "50" it will take 3 shots. Set at "75" 2 shots. Even set at "100" it will take 2 shots. Set at "125 will take 1 shot. If you want just a 1 shot take down, then leave it alone (don't add it to the script and use the default).

Also, the headshot will work with neck to maybe midchest but not a direct hit on the shoulder. I imagine it has something to do with the limb configuration.

I used Thug (pistol) for the tests and used the sniper rifle with scope so I could see exactly where I was shooting. Whether this agrees with Lee's tests I wouldn't know."

...it's relevant. That's some pretty good information that you shared with the community...

they made a new script so you can change it i think

Your signature has been erased by a mod because it is larger than 600x120.

Yeah, I've also messed around with the script and the almost perfect headshot length is 60 (higher numbers mean lower headshot distances).
