Okay, just a few moments ago, I started to install FPSC on my comptuer. About halfway into the installation, a power surge struck, and I had to boot up my computer. Well, I went to uninstall it, and it said it uninstalled, but it didn't remove anything. I went into the program files folder, and deleted it all. I popped back in my disk, but it still thinks its on here, and keeps bringing up the modify, uninstall, or repair menu. I want to start fresh! I've tried all the other buttons like remove, modify, and repair, it isn't working! How can I install fresh again?!

Alright.
this is the only way i would think it would work..
but you your self even said (you tried repair so..)
put your disk into the drive.

DO NOT AUTO PLAY.

Right click the drive with the CD

Click open.

double click the setup.exe.
and click repair.

that should do it. Good luck

mabey try remove programs from the windows tool.
or try Ccleaner its a free program (google it)

Another solution:

Before you start do this:
Click start, all programs, accessories, system tools and then system restore.

CREATE a Restore point. type anything in the box.
and then click create.

after that do this:

click start.
click run.
type regedit and then hit enter.

DO NOT DELET ANYTHING IN THIS AREA OR YOU WILL MAKE WINDOWS UNSTABLE.
except for what i tell you to delet.
click the + next to Hkey_Local_Machine.
then click the + next to Software.
go down until you find: FPS Creator
Right click on FPS Creator and click delet.
That should Fix it.

I deleted the registries before, not sure why it's still doing this. If I hit repair, it goes right to the "Finished" menu.

then do this:

if on vista, then run on compatibility mode for win 2000, and with administrator privs,

1)delete the reg entires in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/FPS Creator
and HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/FPS Creator

2) Delete the FPS Creator folder

3) now try running setup

I had a problem similar to yours a few years ago but with a different piece of software...

It turned out there was a problem with my registry in general... I had never edited the registry so I'm not sure why it happened though... In the end it got to a stage where I HAD to reformat my PC as many other problems started occurring...AFAIK It wasn't a virus or anything malicious that caused it...

Have you tried a system restore to an earlier date as Pain suggested to see if this fixes your problem? It has been very useful to me a few times in the past...

I tried yesterday, there was no restore point set before installation.
