I've been working on this game for the past few months and hopefully in a few weeks i'll finish a demo . Its called Devastation: the prophecy and it's a 3rd person survival/horror type game. It will contain puzzles, an indepth storyline, the ability to play different characters and hopefully fully interactive scenery.

Below is a pic of the main menu.

I'll post more screenies when i get some more things done

Isn't the name "Devistation" taken? Ah, they all are! Nice job on your main menu! Very proffesional looking. Is it animated?

Current Projects: Game Spawn 85%, mini BSP maker 50%, Height Mapper with many features 75%, Space Tactical (Like BC300AD) 15%.

lol I was thinking it was Desktop Publishing too, and I was going to rant about what the hell is the point. As for a game, it sounds like it'll definitely be worth checking out.

As for Diptheria Tetanus and Pneumonia Randi, you need to stop bringing your work home with you.

in test tubes.

Yeah, yeah, I know.

Any way it's DPT not DTP.
I have to give little kids DPT shots all the time.
They always scream and cry.

they have a different one in the UK same sorta shots called MMR - but still i'm not sure why you'd think a forum user here would really have known about that.

@ Raven
I wouldn't. But it was just one of those things that you have to say when you know about it.
I admit it was lame.
Sorry to get off topic.

Also...
MMR is measles, mumps, and rubella.
Totally different than DPT.

lol... they both are triple jabs (^_^) they're both small doses of virus to give your immune systems templates, to me thats close enough

Yes they are virus injections, but they should be just one shot each.
The DPT is one shot and the MMR is one shot.
The MMR comes in a powder.
You have to fill the syringe with saline then inject it into the MMR vial, shake, then fill the syringe back up.
And once again...
I am very sorry for getting off topic.

well they can be either the single shots or the triple jab as i've been hearing it lovingly refered to
there is so much contraversy over ortisum and the MMR though, umpteen prove it causes it, another umpteen prove it doesn't ... in the middle are parents who dunno what they should be going for.

personally i think its a big scare about nothing as i've noticed over the years the brits have a tendancy to get overworked about bugger all

Oooooooooooo. Dodgy generalising ground. There's no smoke without fire.

As for injections. I've been a hard man through my life laughing off injection like they were just little pricks with a needle ....... .... hang on ..... But anyway, they dont bother me, until I had my most recent Tetenus injection. Actually, thats wrong. That did hurt, but when I had a local anesthetic injected ... hehehe .... that was fun.

But back on topic, nice to see the menu corrected insiiide.

lol ... might be dodgy generalisation but just look at all that hohar about BSE, so much paranoia yet very few cases most of which had nothing to do with eating beef.

its funny, terroist threats the British public can handle, something which could really destory thier lives they don't give a toss about - you give them someone that really doesn't have much scientific proof about it and really doesn't make much of a difference ... suddenly its a national scandal.
its insane if you ask me.

Insanity is often the best policy.

But terrorism is a dodgy issue. First off, we cant do anything about it, so why worry? Secondly, the government is keeping it all very hush hush. They're not going into great detail about what might be in store for us, although the media have done some nice shows on how dirty bombs would destroy cities and nerve toxins in the water would make us all convulse on the floor and die fitting. The thing is, most people honestly cant imagine it actually happening, no matter how real the threat is. They can't picture it.

As for BSE, the thing about that was firstly shitloads of cows had it, and there were loads of news reports showing cows foaming at the mouth, stumbling around and generally dying quite horribly. Then most of the people who died from the human version were kids, which made it worse, and finally, the fact the government took the decision to slaughter every cow over 2 year olds in the whole country (millions) kinda made the public think it was just a touch serious. Same with foot and mouth.

But having said that, its not like everyone was worried. I was munching rump steak through the whole thing. I think the majority of people didn't care, a large proportion were worried about beef, and a small minority thought it was the appocolypse and everyone was going to get the chronic shits and die. lol.

Ahh well. At least all our cows and sheep are young, and all our doors are open to terroism.

its not the fact of being actually bothered enough about it... i mean christ you look at the american flights when the terrorism was going on, everyone was kinda more scared to fly and such - you look at the British flights ... people knew what was going on, but you'd ask anyone "a cheap flight is a cheap flight!"

i know i sure as hell wouldn't pass up £24 return to Amsterdam on EasyJet in the peak of the terrisom worries.
my reasoning is... it's £24 what more reason do ya need, if i'd spent £300 return to somewhere like russia - then i'd be a little miffed paying all that cash just to not actually get to the destination i wanted.

ya know it is cheaper to fly to France or Spain than it is to take a taxi from Watford to Luton Airport! its so just unbelievably insane!

ya know something weird, i miss UK weather - it was so unpredictable snow in the middle of june and the funny thing would be you'd expect it, even if the sun was out and 25deg before hand lol it wouldn't come as a surprise.
here, i kinda look forward to the rain because the only other weather is hot and hotter than hell. it isn't even a nice kinda hot neither, its a dry humid heat eck.

lol Randi can't handle the "off-topicness". I think we're doing Inferno a favour. So long as we keep chatting, his post stays at the top of the board. Same with Randi's, so it's all good!

UK weather - bah. It's been raining for the last 4 days or so. Was gorgeous and sunny before. We dont see a lot of warm days, so our weathers nothing to rant about. I suppose, at least its interesting.

As for the flying thing, you seem to forget some dudes crashed your planes into big ass buildings and killed thousands of people. That didn't happen here. Ok, it happened with the lockabee bombing years and years a go, but apart from that, the worst threat we've had so far was some terrorists planning to shoot down a plane at heathrow with a rocket launcher. I happened to be taking my ex girlfriend to the airport during that period and they have tanks, machine gun emplacements, everything. Nutts.

... she was scared to fly. But she's canadian. lol Doesn't count.

Sorry i can't reveal too much of the story cos i want it to be a surprise but its basically about an unstopable evil trying to destroy the world.

Ive just sorted collision on the demo so now I have to sort out a few models, a level and a bit of ai and then i'll release it, but the other members of my team are AWOL at moment so it might take a bit longer than antisipated .

I just don't want to be the cause of the off-topic.
It's you two! Not me.

But why we're on the weather...
It's hot here, very hot.
It's also July 4th. An American holiday.
This means fireworks.

It's Friday too, this means fireworks (in my house at least!).

As for the threat of terrorism, measiles, tourists, weather, and midges - I don't think there's much we can do about anything these days, we just gotta let it happen and hope the government don't tax us because of it.

Nice subtle title screen though, I like the clean style, don't be tempted to add more detail, it's fine as it is.

Shh!!... i think my housemates have forgotten it's the 4th - i don't want them to know until they hear the hollaballo later, that way i don't have to hear the bitching about the Guy Fawkes incident all over again.
That was a sad, sad day... everyone was arrested, except me and alexis who decided to do a runner when we heard the cops

(can leave ya'll wondering what were we all doing though hehee)

as for the game... unstopable evil eh? surely there's gotta be someway, else that'll make it too hard for the player.
