I would wait for more 9 series to come out, so the 8800 drops alot in prices.

In my case it doesn't make any difference.The Radeon 2400 is the only card that works with my pc unless I buy another motherboard.

I went with an ATI HD 2900 XT

Using v1.07 of FPSC X10 and the latest v8.3 ATI video drivers I've had no issues with this card despite some freezing in test games before updating to the latest versions mentioned.

I picked up the card for £130 about 4 months ago which is less than half the price of an 8800 and actually performs better in some benchmarks.

That card won't run it well. It runs, without any effects turned on and very choppy.

Well it will hold me till this summer when they will drop the 8800 price from the new 9700 that are coming out.

Go to here and get some graphic cards for a good price. I got 2x 8800 ultras for $620 each some months ago, so they should be cheaper now.[href]Tigerdirect.com[/href]
