I have an idea for an fps character controller. Basicly a sphere which rolls around, as spheres do, but gets pushed using a global forced in the direction the camera is pointing. However im not good a trig, and i need to know how to calculate the x and z forces for the direction.
Can anyone help me out???
thanks

This is untested but it should work.

player_force = The total force for the player i.e. move speed
force_x = the force to apply in the x direction (global co-ord's)
force_z = the force to apply in the z direction (global co-ord's)

Hope this helps.

Much good work is lost for the lack of a little more.
