Hello all,

First, I would like to thank everyone who gives me some assistance with this problem. I encounter this error when I go to test a map in FPS Creator X10.

I figure I am getting this message because of my video card. I am running with a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE nForce 430 chip. It has 512 MB of video memory and is DirectX 10 compatible.

I have DirectX 10 installed, so I'm not entirely sure why I would be getting this error. Could it be possible that you can have Direct X 10 installed but not Direct3D 10 installed? I thought that this was impossible.

If anyone could help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Other Specs:

3 GB RAM
250 GB HD
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 (2 CPU's) ~ 2.2 GHz

Hello,

the NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE nForce isnĀ“t Directx 10 card.
You MUST have a 100% Directx 10 Card and no compatible.
*** Geforce 8600 *** or higher.

Actually, you just need any one of these:

True, but the 8600 is the best recommended for those looking for keep the price range low.

Not only 8th series support direct x10, but also the 9th series.

I would recommend 9600GT, its pretty cheap and allmost as good as 8800GT.

Well the tests and reviews show that it does same fps in games at 1280x1024 but when going over that resolution the fps will drop by 2-6 and the winner will be 8800GT.

9600GT is little bit cheaper than 8800GT. Also the 9th series have got physics card installed and they play better HD quality movies.

9600GT is little bit cheaper here in Estonia. Totaly new ones. But the price is pretty much same.

And yup, the 9800gx2 is quite powerful ^^. But... There should soon come a new even more bigger and better gfx card from Nvidia. I think it was called 280GTX and 260GT.
