Hi,

I have a small question.
I took the source codes of FPSC 1.07. I do not have to modify. I have compiled with DBPro 1.66. Everything is fine, but when I put the file compiled in the case of a game built with FPSC 1.07, and well, the game does not begin to define the place in the map, and I can not save a party .

Do you know what I should do?

Thanks in advance

So you are saying that when you compiled FPS Creator's source code (V1.07) it compiled fine, but when you tried to run a game in FPS Creator the compiled game engine cannot place the player on the map?

If this is the case, then I would make sure that you have put on the "player start marker" in the map of the game. If you do have the "player start marker" in the game, then recompile the source code, as it may have been a bad compile for some reason. It has to be something to do either with FPS Creator, or it has something to do with the compiling of the source code.

Hello Veler,

I too had that problem last night, actually. The problem seemed to be that I had "half-upgraded" to U6.7 of DBP. That's when this problem started.

I completely uninstalled all DBP plugins, DBP upgrades, and then DBP itself... then took the time to reinstall DBP, upgrade it to U6.6, then installed appropriate DBP plugins (DarkLIGHTS) and copied in the appropriate DLL files from the U6.6 enhancement pack needed for compiling FPSC. (Then I deleted the "EnhancementFREE.dll" which was included as it only seems to cause problems)

I recompiled the code, and it ran fine that time.

I've already notified Lee about the problem I had.

So, in summary. Re-install DBP and follow the strict installation instructions for getting it ready to compile FPSC:

1) Install DBP
2) Upgrade to U6.6
3) Install DBP Plugins
4) Copy "Compile" folders from the Enhancements download found on the U6.6 page.
5) Change your "setup.ini" file found in DBP's Compile folder to read the following (at the end of the file)

Quote: "[DIRECTIVES]
RemoveSafetyCode=Yes
SafeArrays=No
LocalTempFolder=No"

6) Find and delete the "EnhancementsFREE.dll" file in one of the plugins folders.

That should do it for ya.

Hi,

I just do what you suggested to me. I reinstalled DBP with the 6.6 update and have deleted EnhancementsFREE.dll ...

Here is the problem, having to remove this plugin, I can not compile :-s
And if I furnish it compiles well, but the problem I encounter playing remains the same.

When I tried to run, the commands LightMapper.dll that were not recognized.
I have deleted all tried to, and have compiled, and then everything works perfectly, but since I delete these orders, there was more LigthMap.

I understand the dll LightMapper.dll is damaged. I noticed that there is no Keywords.

Can you send me the dll and keywords if there is?

Thank you

That dll should be included with either the Enhancement pack from U6.6 or from U6.2, you may want to find both.

First copy and OVERWRITE (merging folders) everything that is included with the U6.2 enhancements, then copy over and OVERWRITE (merging folders) everything that is included with the U6.6 enhancements.

Alright, well, I'm also having troubles with compiling FPSC correctly right now. Maybe once I get it working again, I'll let you know what went on.

No problem. I'm actually getting an error when running a compiled FPSC source. Something about not being able to find the "GetMemoryAvailable" function in the Enhancements.dll

That seems to be linked to the LightMapper.dll

Make sure you replaced the one that got installed by DarkLIGHTS with the one included with the U6.6 Extras pack (In the folder labeled "For FPSC")

DBP just got upgraded again didn't it?If you guys haven't gotten it compiling by the time I check back in later I'll look into it.
Every time they tweak DBP it plays havoc for those trying to mod the source code.
Is everybody having this problem?

RIP Floating Skull unknown-2007 we will miss you in FPSC x10

@FredP:

Yeah, I just went through havoc in trying to get DBP compiling the source again... and I still don't have it acting quite right. Every time i compile it now, I get a "List index out of bounds (1)" error, but the executable was still created without flaw. Only drawback to this is... when the error shows up, DBP closes down the project without saving. Needless to say, I save before compiling. Lol

At least the *ding!* from the error serves as a notice that my compile is ready.

@Veler:

You may want to try redownloading the U6.6 Extras pack and recopying over the LightMapper.dll in it.
