Dark GDK / how to load materials and shadings in dark GDK

i have done the basic 3d tutorials of the kit and i worked well.

but when i loaded my model (now in .x file format) that was exported from maya 7 (.mb) the materials and shading properties are not shown.

but when i opened the .x file in direct x viewer, i can see the materials and shadings, but i get this message "[material xx] - No effect instance specified. "

please help me with my problem.
