Hi for making my modles i have been using 3d canvas without any upgrades because i can't afford it and i can't make a head for my characters with good detail for eyes because when i got in wireframe mode it doesn't have the right shapes for me to texture the eyes in properly or mouth please help.

im not a modeller and dont know much about modelling (i can make space ships and basic buildings but thats about it )

But i posted to recommend you take a look at anim8or which is a very cool modelling program- freeware, and the only one i use (because its the only one i know how to use ).

it exports 3ds.

there is a 3ds to x convertor supplied with db
