Is there anyway to incorporate visual basic 6's
file managment system to work with DB.Pro.
What i mean is the "Directory List","File
List" boxes etc.

To do it in DBPro it seems as if you would
have to write one from scratch (which would
be a large code snippet in itself). There must
be an earier way.
Thanx.

Try my GetResource plug-in - you've got the Load/Save dialog window, Colour picker and font window.

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...
http://www.nickk.nildram.co.uk/ for great plug-ins - oh my, yes!

You can do what I did for my map editor and create a VB program then lock the DB Window inside it and simply communicate between the 2 using memblocks.

Exeat, could you explain how you did that? I'd be interested in learning about that one.

Search on RGT there was a post about it by Andreas Mattison.

Do you want Windows menus in your DBP apps? - Get my plugin: http://snow.prohosting.com/~clone99/downloads/tpc_menus_103.zip

Yeah, Andreas created a DB<->VB Integrater, his post is at:
http://www.realgametools.net/forums/index.php?board=8;action=display;threadid=11734

Although it's been available for a while I think I'm the first person to actually utilise it for an app that does more then just 'test' it. Unfortunately there's a bit more coding involved with this because you have to write the VB program that sends messages to DBP as well as the DBP program that has to check for messages and then actually do what you want.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.
