I'm totally lost on how to create a multiplayer game. I have a game almost done, but I'd like to add multiplayer to it. The commands in the manual confuse me, and I haven't been able to find any posts or guides that actually explains how multiplayer works with regards to darkbasic and how to implement it in a game. Please help.

Use the help in db, look under technical documents, and you'll find a very helpful file called Multiplayer Secrets which should get you started.

wow ... something totally off topic but Fallout is almost a year older than me, 3 days out - you learn something new everyday

that aside download the DarkBASIC 1.13 Trial & Help, it has FAR FAR FAR better examples for Multiplayer.

and Fallout email me, i need your particular talents with something (no memail addy make Raven-something-something)

My addy is either:

I only really use hotmail when I'm away from the computer, so the group email is your best bet. I'll wack it up in my profile now actually.

Our avatars could be more different though. Raven is a girl, I'm a moving eye ball, and your some weird cross between a malting horse and a deformed lion.

Excuse me dude, but my avatar is ALF. By far, the coolest sit-com character ever... perhaps a close second to Zapp Brannigan from Futurama.

lol Never seen ALF. I must be sheltered. Seen Futurama a few times though, but always been more into Family Guy, Simpsons, South Park. Ahh .. now I know who Zapp is. He's that space cruiser commander geeza from that episode where they rescue animals from that exploding planet, isnt he?

ALF even had a film all about him. He's basically an alien who is a petty crook/cum entrepreneur. He's actually a very entertaining character.

For my part, I think you are all youngersters, you lucky people.
