There are too many forums honestly. I made one a while back and it was used about everyday for a few months but then I quit FPSC so it's dead now. But there's ozark games, there's these forums (obviously) there is IGD (something like that) and one more. What makes these forums so different from the others?

IGD is private. Ozark is now Black Draco Games, and Gunn3r Games is still up. Robert's forum is nice. I like the color scheme and layout, and if successful, could be a thriving community.

Yes, probably the best looking forum I've seen. That being said, I don't see the need for additional forums, unless they are private, to support a software or product, or cover something not covered here. Many have tried to replicate the TGC forum and failed or just didn't have the time/patience/experience to make it work. I'm not sure why they try, though some say it's for fun. It seems like too much work to me.

Best.

Not unless someone invites you, if you get invited a poll gets posted, if a single no is voted, you get rejected.

That's what it's all about. If it feels good.... do it. Well as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. LOL

Yeah, I know what you mean. I put up fpsFREE because I... just wanted to. It gives me a way to be a little more involved in the community. I feel ya, bro.

Best.

Good luck with it. I ran a forum for a while (not game-related) and it can be very rewarding. Much as I enjoy this forum, it does seem that the moderation is a little over zealous at times, and it isn't exactly the most welcoming place for newbies with a few questions. It certainly wouldn't hurt to give FPSC customers another option.

You realise that you don't need loads of mods on your forum. If I'm not mistaken, you may get three or four posts in a day and you can easily check them yourself.

Ozark Games isn't dead, per se; it still functions as normal. The problem was/is that the Old Man abandoned the community, and left us with no Admin rights to it (which is why the January Level Comp from over a year ago is still on the front page). The Old Man has moved on to a new community of his creation, that he hopes will attract "serious" game developers....apparently the community at OG wasn't "serious" enough for him.

Black Draco Games Forums has picked up where we left off at OG; I plan for that community to grow over time, as well as actually devleloping our own games.....finally.

Indeed there were serious developers that frequented OG. I'm not going to do his advertising for him, after leaving us holding the bag.
