Hi,

When the overal lighting of a level is fine, sometimes a dynamic item appears way to bright.
An item that renders nicely when static is also way to bright when set to dynamic.

Is it possible to control the amount of light reflected by a dynamic item?
One solution I can think of is using darker textures. But when I search for the texture for the scifi blaster, I don't find it.
So that does not always seam to be an option.

Thanks.

Mmmm, maybe I wasn't clear enough?

I've been experimenting in the mean time.
Dynamic items other then weapons and ammo respond well to the light.
Weapons and ammo, in my case the blaster, looks always fully lit and do not respond to light colors. Even when I make the room almost dark and set the ambient to 0.

Is there something about lighting that I am missing and that explains this behaviour?

Dynamic entities are affected by lighting, it's just a quick, on-the-fly job, where it simple colours the whole thing.....

Even if most of the part is in the shadow or the dark area it will get very light when getting in contact with lights. Try different effects on it, I think one of the effects allows the models to be dark on one side and light on the other.

Maybee they are affected completely. But like BIG Viking says they are way to bright.
I didn't try effects. It might be an idea to see what these things do.
