I tend to agree: 90%.
One way 2D remains alive is in 3D presentation. Just take a good look at
Contra: Shattered Soldier for the PS2 and tell me that you would rather play it totally 3D.
Did I mention they are doing the same thing with
R-Type: Final for the PS2: keeping the 2D gameplay in 3D space.
Don't get me started about the cult that keeps alive 2D fighting games:
Guilty Gear series,
Capcom vs. SNK 2,
Marvel vs. Capcom,
I'm beginnning to get into the habit of underlining game titles (I don't know why). If it is annoying please tell me and I will stop on the spot, that is, after 3 different people complain.
