So i managed to make my firstanimated entity (an alien facehugger lookalike) with a walkcycle animation and it follows the waypoints i set but soon as it does it sinks in the floor remarkably...If i let it stand still without waypoints it aligns with the floor perfectly. So is there a way to either raise the waypoints a bit or to raise the entity while it follows them? i tried it with "offy=" in the entities fpe file with no success....so it must be somewhere in the fpi?

Raising and lowering the waypoint doesn't seem to have any effect. The entity will just follow the waypoint at the lowest point - the floor.

V1.09 has a new command you can add to the entities fpe. It's called "RAISEFACTOR". Just add raisefactor = 20 (or whatever height you need) in the orientation section. Of course, you'll have to upgrade to 1.09.
