This is really a question for the lads at DBS. Was wondering when the new site and contributed tutorials will be available for all to see? I'm looking forward to it

They aren't called DBS anymore, its TGC for "The Game Creators"

Indeed we have officially changed our company name. It is announced in a news item on the DB site but to be honest we won't make any kind of song and dance about it until the new sites go live. Needless to say they're all under the TGC banner now.

Glancing up at the (very long) web site schedule on my wall all I can really say is that we're WELL into development right now and that although nothing is imminent (read: less than 4 weeks) it will all happen this Summer. No-one outside of DBS (heh.. TGC!) has seen the new site yet bar a couple of people who work with us. I am hoping we can open it up for a public beta test in the next few weeks, but this is as yet undecided.

Be advised that the new site uses your email address to login, not a username like Apollo does at the moment. So in order to migrate your Apollo account to the new format smoothly - ensure your Apollo profile contains a valid email address, one that you can actually access and read, because the system will send your account upgrade details to it.

I'll announce this properly closer to the time.

Cheers,

Rich

This forum will require you to give out your E-Mail?

I've seen it. Of course this was before you put the password up so it could well have changed since then although I don't see why you would've changed something so brilliant. lol.

Exeat - God, what you must have seen was weeks out of date then! Trust me, it looks better now

SpellSword - "This forum will require you to give out your E-Mail?" - no, it will require you to HAVE an email address in order to register. Just like it does now.

Cheers,

Rich

I'm kind of disappointed, I really liked that layout, reminded me of my XP theme: sleek and sexy.

Although I'm sure the new/modified version is just as good.

The "layout" is the same, it's the columns and footer and content area that has changed. So, about 90% of it then

It's for the better. The overall structure you saw is the same.

Cheers,

Rich

Indeed. I don't know where I'd be in this world without Nescafe and Coke (the liquid variety!)
