Hi,
Today I was looking through the scripts folder and found a file named 'DarkAI'
When that was set the enermy had a lot better AI
Does this mean Dark AI MIGHT come to FPSC?
Look at pic (From the V109 update)

For now it is exactly the same as strafe10.fpi which is different from strafe.fpi. I can't remember when the "10s" came into being but it might have been 07 or 08. So, in actuality you could have been using strafe10.fpi for awhile now. I didn't even notice the addition until you brought it up.

This is the "desc" in the darkai.fpi:

DarkAI has already come to FPSC... it's called "FPSC X10".

Lee has already stated that DarkAI is not going to be implemented into FPSC X9.

We can always hope. Many people don't have good enough computers to run X10, and it's completely unfair to only update the X10 version. I'm loving the latest updates for X9 and i hope Lee improves the classic FPS Creator more and more. It's the best game-making software ever... just buggy as hell.

I agree with Claws, but X9 is where I'll stay, I've heard Vista is kind of bad.

Vista is quite ok IMO but only few people on this planet have both Vista and a DX10 card that can run FPSC X10 games. I discovered that after buying X10 and a brand new pc. Dough.

Maybe in a year things will look better for X10. Right now X9 is the most compatible FPSC out there. It also has loads of official model packs where X10 only has a few at the moment.

Could it be that lee used some x10 code, and the darkai script accedently found it's way into the source code?

Fpsc x10 was made in DarkBASIC Professional x10, they of course had to completly recode the db engine so fpsc x10 could be made. (because fpsc was made with dbp).
Anyway that means its not a part of x10. And lee said:
Quote: "...DarkAI will not be added to V1, see x10 migration below"

TO V1. V2 is the x10 migration, and may, and hopefully, be put into Version 2.00 (the next one up from V1.09). Hope this helped!

Actually FPSC x10 was coded with a developer's version of DarkBasic Pro x10.

What about in the FPSC X10 that will run in direct9.
The good news is that we are working to make a special version of X10 which works on your DirectX 9 hardware.

Not to the public cause it has too many bugs.

When is that going to be released?

I got an email from Lee stating that V1.09 (and possibly V1.10) may take another month or so to get everything in and make everyone happy before they move on to the migration. He said when they start the migration, they will make a public post asking people what they want to see in it.

I'd like to know why a bunch of people seem to think that after 1.09 is 2.0....you're overlooking a digit guys (except for Ply)

@Airslide:

Well, Once the migration is done with, that'll actually be a completely new Version of FPSC X9, so Lee named it V2.0

However, he told me that the work for V1.09 may be split up into two sections, one of those sections being V1.10

Here is a video of and interview with Lee Bamber.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_kgpYygQgE
This shows DarkBASIC Professional. Of course they had to recode FPSC x10 with DbPro
otherwise it wouldn't be x10 would it. Anyway sorry for thinking that the x10 migration would be after 1.09. So thanks

Lol love that
Anyway if you scroll down the comments of the video above...You will see that Rick Clearly quotes this:
Quote: "It will be an upgrade later in 2008..."

Thanks. Hope this help people out
